Apple has started hiring retail staff in India

According to a Financial Times story, Apple Inc. has started employing retail store employees in India and wants to fill other positions as the technology company gets ready to open stores there.
Opportunities for Indian workers are listed on the company’s careers page under the categories of business expert, “genius,” operations expert, and technical specialist.
Currently, Apple’s website lists over a hundred employment openings in India. The Saturday job postings for retail openings included Mumbai and New Delhi among the places around the nation.
The tech giant from Cupertino, California, has long intended to open physical stores in India, one of the world’s fastest-growing smartphone markets. Plans for physical and mortar stores have not yet materialised, despite the fact that the company started direct sales online in 2020.
When contacted for comment by FT, Apple didn’t respond right away.
