Content experience platform (CXP) Contentstack revealed on Tuesday that it has received $80 million in Series C funding, enabling marketers and developers to create composable digital experiences.
Illuminate Ventures joined the round, which was co-led by Georgian and Insight Partners. Each of the three businesses has increased its investment in Contentstack, bringing the total amount raised to far to $169 million.
According to Contentstack, the funding will be used to support enterprise businesses as they work to become composable, giving them the tools they need to satisfy customer demand for omnichannel and customised experiences.
The money will also be used by the business to expand and hire in Virar-Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune. Emily Walsh, the principal investor for Georgian, and David Overmyer, the company’s CFO, will join the board of directors for Contentstack. “We seek out high-growth businesses with excellent management and vibrant workplace culture. We also enjoy assisting disruptors in doing what they do best, according to Walsh.
“Given all of these factors, we decided to increase our investment. By ensuring customer success and innovating at breakneck speeds, Contentstack has established itself as the market leader for content management systems.
The in-house Indian content management system (CMS) Contentstack represents international brands like Chase, Holiday Inn, Levi’s, Mattel, McDonald’s, Mitsubishi, and Shell. Nishant Patel, co-founder and chief technology officer of Contentstack, expressed his excitement about being one of the fastest-expanding SaaS firms in India.
“Raw Engineering, an Indian company, served as Contentstack’s incubator before it was spun off to establish a more international presence in 2018. Our goal is to encourage rapid expansion of the Indian startup ecosystem. You can anticipate more of that in the future. Recently, sponsoring the NASCOMM Product Conclave helped energise that mission.

According to Contentstack, the only headless CMS providing an end to the “integration nightmare” with Automation Hub, businesses may use it to create composable software. Enterprises may now more quickly retire expensive legacy content management systems by automating and simplifying hundreds of tasks across technologies and vendors in real-time (CMS). Additionally, this enables them to realise a significantly higher return on investment and broadly unlock innovation in digital experience.
Cross-vendor support in definable situations is guaranteed by the company’s flagship Care Without Compromise service. Contentstack is at the forefront of the composable movement, which aims to position customers for success in today’s quickly evolving business and technological landscape, with Automation Hub and Care Without Compromise. Since Contentstack’s Series B in June 2021, more businesses have adopted composable architecture as the core of their digital strategies, which has facilitated growth in the size and scale of use cases.
More than 400 people now work for Contentstack, which has more than 50,000 users spread across more than 70 different countries. While maintaining a 97% customer retention rate, it nearly increased ARR and nearly doubled the number of clients served. It asserts to scale with the biggest international brands, of which 42% have more than $1 billion in annual revenue and 35% are publicly traded. The company also provided a cloud-neutral solution that supported both Microsoft Azure and AWS in the US and Europe.
