Kotak Mahindra appoints Milind Nagnur as the President and Chief Technology Officer


Milind Nagnur has been appointed president and chief technology officer (CTO) of Kotak Mahindra Bank to lead the bank’s technological transformation. In a news release, Kotak Mahindra Bank’s joint managing director, Dipak Gupta said, “We are thrilled to have Milind Nagnur join us as Kotak Mahindra Bank’s CTO.”

The company said in a statement, “We are convinced that Milind will contribute enormous value to our bank as we go towards the next stage of growth. His broad experience in driving the technology initiatives in the global fintech and banking industry is an advantage.”

Nagnur joins Kotak from Early Warning, a fintech business that is owned by seven of the top American banks. The Zelle Network, a financial services network aimed at revolutionising payment experiences, is owned and operated by Early Warning and is most recognised for this role. Nagnur has a wealth of experience managing large-scale portfolios of important transaction processing platforms, apps, data, and infrastructure services in highly regulated financial industries.

Nagnur, an IIT Bombay graduate with an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta in computer information systems and finance, has previously held positions with Wells Fargo Bank, Citigroup, and JP Morgan Chase. Additionally, Nagnur is a co-author of a Prentice Hall book on Java2 Network Security.

Nagnur stated, “With technology, the banking and financial services industry in India is undergoing a dramatic transformation.
