Drone startup Garuda Aerospace to establish a drone factory in Malaysia

Garuda Aerospace Pvt Ltd, a drone startup located in Chennai, said on June 22 that it has partnered with HiiLSE Global Sdn Bhd (HiiLSE Drones), a company based in Malaysia, to build a 2.42 acre drone factory there for an investment of Rs 115 crore.
The actual potential of drone technology, according to Agnishwar Jayaprakash, founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, has not yet been realised. Garuda Aerospace was established with the goal of exploiting drone technology to disrupt multi-billion dollar business sectors. “We are still only looking at the tip of the iceberg when it comes to drone applications,” he added.
“In order to help the state’s crisis management agency in its rescue operations in the midst of the present floods, the company recently deployed white knight delivery drones in Assam,” according to Jayaprakash. “We are actively in discussions with top aerospace and defence clients that are searching for offset-capable Indian producers. In the following three weeks, exciting news will be revealed,” he continued.
The business makes 30 different kinds of drones and provides more than 50 different services, including precision agriculture spraying, industry 4.0 upgrade services, structural damage inspection, warehouse management, seed dropping, solar panel cleaning, project monitoring, drone delivery of medications for hospitals, and drone delivery of packages for food.
Armed tactical drones, anti-drone drones, long-range surveillance UAVs, weaponized drones, tethered drones for establishing communication, and payload capacity drones to deliver supplies to troops are just a few of the drones that Garuda Aerospace has been developing for the Indian defence forces recently.
India recently prohibited the import of drones, which is expected to be advantageous for Indian drone businesses. This would encourage many Indian drone entrepreneurs, and the Indian drone industry is now home to over 250 thriving businesses.
