Exprto, a student experience sharing and mentoring network, has raised Rs 5 crore in a seed round led by GSF and Angel List USA. The round was also attended by Agility Ventures, LetsVenture, and Supermorpheus.
With the newly acquired funds, the startup intends to refine the overall product and increase hiring, in addition to launching new products.
Exprto’s mentorship services range in duration from one to twelve months and were founded in 2021 by Rajan Chaudhary and Varun Richharia. Currently, the platform provides 1-on-1 and cohort-based group mentorship sessions.

Exprto co-founder Rajan Chaudhary believes that the company’s business model addresses mentorship issues in the student community. The Indian edtech market is primarily focused on opportunities for better teaching methodology and academic content, he further explained. Despite the real benefits that such platforms have provided to students, they continue to struggle to meet their exam-related objectives. These include preparation, revision, and guidance strategies obtained primarily from senior students or online platforms such as Quora/YouTube.
Rajesh Sawhney, Founder and CEO of GSF said that GSF is delighted to back Exprto, a fast-growing mentoring platform. Its unique ‘MaaS – mentoring as a service’ business model is well-suited to meet the needs of millions of aspirational students. Furthermore, Exprto’s founders, Varun and Rajan, are exceptional leaders with a strong commitment to building a sustainable and innovative edtech platform.
