Plum, a company that provides employee health insurance, has teamed up with Mindpeers, a holistic science-based mental wellness platform. The collaboration is a step toward promoting mental health at work, where the majority of individuals spend the majority of their time working under duress. It becomes critical for employees to prosper and focus on making ‘mental health’ a daily habit.
Plum’s clients will receive tailored plans concentrating on productivity enhancement and mental strength thanks to the collaboration of the two organizations. This offers full-stack solutions ranging from clinical therapy to full access to digital health panels for measuring and strengthening mental health.
The goal is to make “mind care” a way of life for everyone. As a result, MindPeers unequivocally focuses on getting people to handle the concern as casually as they would any bodily concern. Plum’s DNA is to be a modern healthtech partner, and they see the value of this space for their customers. MindPeers hopes that their analytics and digital health solutions will be of genuine assistance to their clients. It will be the first step in changing how insurance companies cover mental health care.
With this partnership Plum wants employees to understand that their physical and mental health are not negotiable and that they should not be afraid to seek help, according to Saurabh Arora, Plum’s co-founder, CTO, and Head of Wellness.
In 2017, 197.3 million people in India suffered from mental illness, according to The Lancet. According to the report, 45.7 million people suffer from depression, while 44.9 million suffer from anxiety.
According to a 2020 poll conducted by the International Labour Organization, the viral spread has exacerbated mental health crises around the world, with one in every two persons aged 18 to 29 experiencing anxiety and sadness, and another 17% likely experiencing it.
