ALTBalaji launches a fantasy-based metaverse game for its reality show Lock Upp

Metaverse, is a three-dimensional (3D) virtual reality (VR) world in which users can interact with digital things (avatars or digital representatives of individuals). It combines many technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and 3D holographic, among others, to create a virtual environment that can be accessed on a variety of devices, including smartphones and laptops.
In the Lock Upp metaverse, for example, an ecology would allow players to participate in the reality programme. Viewers can access some fascinating and unique features with Lock Upp Keys.
According to the OTT content provider, Lock Upp will begin streaming live on ALTBalaji and MX Player on February 27, 2022 at 10 p.m. (IST).
Thirteen celebrity candidates would compete for the most basic of luxuries while vying for the title of winner.
A free contestant token will be added to a player’s vault when they register for the game for the first time.
The main goal for participants is to forecast contestant development, complete game tasks, and explore the metaverse in order to win the grand season reward. In addition, participants can win weekly rewards by participating in contests.
Meanwhile, according to a recent research from Credit Suisse, Metaverse, a network of 3D virtual worlds centred on social connection, is the next big thing with the potential to radically disrupt the digital ecosystem.
The transformation would have a direct influence on data usage, screen time, and bandwidth consumption worldwide, increasing data consumption by 20 times in the following ten years.
Aside from metaverse businesses like Adloid and Bullieverse, large corporations like Reliance Industries have begun to invest in the platform. Jio Platforms, the company’s IT arm, has purchased a 25% share in Two Platforms Inc (TWO), a deep tech business based in Silicon Valley, for $15 million.
