The Karnataka Minister for IT-BT and Skill Development, Ashwath Narayan, launched a startup incubation center established by the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) on Monday.
The minister’s office stated in a statement that the incubation center will complement the city’s and state’s current startup ecosystems.
Speaking at the event, Narayan stated that private organizations like BCIC stepping forward to establish an incubation center will help the state maintain its leadership position in the expanding technology realm.

The minister praised the initiative, saying that the BCIC has established an Incubation Centre to assist budding Startup entrepreneurs by providing proper assistance, technical support, infrastructural facilities, access to investors, network management, and enabling a variety of other resources that Startups may require to survive and scale.
He said that the state has a healthy ecosystem with a network of incubation centers at 30 engineering schools across 18 districts in Karnataka and that Centers of Excellence for IoT, Data Science, AI, AVGC, Cybersecurity, and other fields have a clear emphasis on youth skilling and growth.
