AgroStar, an agricultural company, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with two companies to establish a personal accident insurance policy for farmers . According to a statement, the insurance programme ‘Kisan Raksha Kavach’ has been launched on the AgroStar App to give financial protection to farmers against the risks of accidental death and disability as a result of an accident.
According to the conditions of the scheme, farmers who purchase agriculture inputs using the Agro Star App will receive a free personal accident insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh . Care Health Insurance and Gram Cover have partnered to launch this group insurance product.
The group insurance policy is insured by Care Health Insurance, and Gram Cover is supporting the procedure online, according to the company. AgroStar, which was founded in 2013, uses data and technology to assist farmers in obtaining high-quality agro-inputs and bridging the knowledge gap that occurs in traditional farming operations.
In Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra, it has over 1,000 offline touchpoints.
