Long Time Executive Becomes Zomato’s New Co-Founder

Zomato, one of India’s leading food apps, gets a new co-founder, Akriti Chopra. She was previously working as the executive of the company. Zomato’s new co-founder has also been appointed as a people officer, as informed by  CEO Deepinder Goyal.

Zomato’s new co-founder takes office at a time when the company is just about to hit $ 1.1 billion IPO. In April Zomato completely revamped it’s board of directors, adding four new women directors. Chopra , Zomato’s new co – founder joined Zomato in 2011 as a senior manager of finance and operations. She became the chief financial officer in April 2019, thus she is pretty well aware of the functionings of the company.
