Winner will get Rs. 50 Lakh funding at IIT Mandi
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has opened applications for its annual flagship event, the Himalayan Startup Trek, in its fifth iteration (HST). The challenge will take place on the 11th and 12th of December. Students can enter the startup pitch competition if they are interested.
There are three categories: ‘The New Age Alliance – Human-Computer Interaction,’ which has a prize pool of Rs 2 lakh, ‘Foothill Innovators Challenge – Build for the Himalayas,’ which has a prize pool of R 1.25 lakh, and ‘Habitable World Challenge – Environment and Sustainability,’ which has a prize pool of Rs 2 lakh.Startups, inventors, and aspiring entrepreneurs can compete in this competition for a chance to earn a cash award of Rs 5 lakh and a funding opportunity of Rs 50 lakh.
The deadline to apply is November 25, according to an official release from the IIT.The purpose of the event is to bring together stakeholders in the Indian startup ecosystem and provide a venue for young entrepreneurs to present their ideas for incubation and investment from investors. HP Industries Department’s Center for Entrepreneurship Development is sponsoring the event. On the event website, you can fill out an application.
