The e-commerce giant Amazon has announced the integration of its pantry services with the fresh store in India and the same is now visible on the app. This announcement comes months after Amazon had indicated its intention to integrate the two segments.
Prior to this, the pantry section and fresh section had separate tabs on the app. The pantry section mainly consisted of dry groceries, bulk buy items, dry fruits and super-saver packs. On the other hand, the fresh section consisted of daily groceries, perishables and household items.

The e-commerce platform has announced that the recent integration would be available on the app as well as website and will provide an upgraded shopping experience to the clients. It also has features like personalised widgets and reminders to ensure that the items in the checkout bag aren’t forgotten. The company would offer 2 hour delivery in selected 14 cities.
Currently, the infrastructure of Amazon India has 60+ fulfilment centres with increased storage capacity by 40% in 15 states. The company also has 28,000+ neighbourhood kirana partners in more than 240 cities to provide grocery delivery services. Customers from more than 300 cities would be able to avail the new ‘Amazon Fresh’ services.
