Adani buys minority shares in Cleartrip


The Adani Group reportedly bought a significant minor stake in online travel portal Cleartrip for an undisclosed amount. The latter will now be operating as the Adani Group’sonline travel agency partner.

Cleartrip was recently acquired by Flipkart in a deal estimated at $40 million.

Adani Group Chairman Gautum Adani said, “We have a strongly developing relationship with Flipkart that spans multiple dimensions including data centres, fulfilment centres, and now air travel.”

“It is such strategic partnerships among homegrown companies which will eventually create local jobs as well as an Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Cleartrip platform will become an essential part of the broader SuperApp journey we have embarked upon,” he added.
