Twin Health Raises $140M in Series C Funding Round
Healthtech startup Twin Health raised $140 million in Series C funding round. The round witnessed investments from Sequoia Capital, ICONIQ Growth, Perceptive Advisors, and Corner Ventures, among others.
The California and Chennai based startup was founded in 2018, with a flagship product, Whole Body Twin, that creates a digital representation of an individual’s metabolism by collecting data using non-invasive sensors and self-reporting measures. This representation is then used to advise users on nutrition, sleep, and other health related activities. The product was created to address chronic metabolic diseases. The platform consistently monitors its users health to detect any sort of abnormalities and help get its users the help they may need.
The newly raised capital will be used to scale the company’s operations in India and the United States, increase the size of their team, and address more diseases- including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, arthritis, and chronic kidney disease. As per an Economic Times article, the startup is also looking to expand to larger European countries as well as the Middle-East due to the rising pervasiveness of diabetes.
