Microsoft and Honor collaborate to develop new AI, devices

Smart devices provider Microsoft and Honor are collaborating on Microsoft cloud adoption, personal and mobile computing, and other technologies.
Honor announced on September 17 that as a part of its new mutual goal, both the companies will be working towards building and expanding in the field of Artificial Intelligence and end devices while at the same time focusing on developing futuristic technology strategies. The Chinese company has stated that the ultimate goal for this new partnership is to support Honor’s “1+8+N” strategy worldwide.

According to the strategic agreement signed betwen both the companies, Honor will adopt AI speech and AI translation services based on Microsoft Azure. These services will be used to support Honor’s Smart Assistant YOYO, collaborative office, smart travel, life services, smart translation, and other applications. Microsoft will help to improve the user experience of Honor’s mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smart screens, watches, earphones, and other devices and will cooperate with Honor across mobile computing, PC, and productivity applications.
Honor also announced the market launch of HONOR MagicBook V 14, one of the world’s first laptops with a pre-installed Microsoft Windows 11 operating system along with the upcoming launch of HONOR Smart Life on September 26th.
Microsoft’s resources, technical skills, and global reach will also provide strong support for Honor’s global expansion. Microsoft was one of the first companies to partner with Honor after it became an independent company in 2020 after the split from its parent company, Huawei
