US cloud player MediaAgility to be acquired by Persistent Systems for $71.71 mn

Persistent Systems announced the acquisition of a global cloud transformation services provider with expertise building scalable, cloud-based solutions as a Google Cloud Premier Partner Princeton, New Jersey-based MediaAgility, for a consideration of about $71.71 million (around Rs 545 crore).
The cloud-native application development and modernisation, analytics and AI, cloud engineering, migrations, are the services provided by the company and managed services across the globe to over 35 enterprise service clients.
Sandeep Kalra, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Persistent Systems, said that the acquisition of MediaAgility are build on their existing partnership with Google and the foundation has been laid for a dedicated Google business unit that enables verticalised solutions, continuing Persistent strategy to add relevant skills across key hyperscale partners. They are looking forward to unleash Persistent full potential together across our client base.
MediaAgility has 330 Google Cloud certifications, 31 Google Cloud Partner Expertise designations, and seven Google Cloud partner specialisations, with over 500 employees in the US, Mexico, the UK and India. The revenue of about $25.50 million has been reported by the company on LTM basis till December 2021.
This acquisition will expand Persistent ability with the increased demand for Google Cloud expertise in order to execute cloud-based digital transformation journeys for its global clients.
