upGrad Vietnam Launches Bilingual Courses to build Local Partnerships and Accelerate Growth


upGrad, Asia’s higher EdTech major, has doubled down on the Vietnam region to help address the strong local demand and need for digital-first education as the country is heading towards Industry 4.0.

The Edtech giant has recently appointed Ex-OYO Dushyant Dwibedy as the Vietnam Country Head with a mandate to initiate corporate and university partnerships and build a strong local team. upGrad intends to build long-lasting learning outcomes, especially for the Vietnamese workforce.

Vietnam has more than 1.5 million people joining the workforce every year, which adds to its attractive market size for Lifelong Learners and those who are in need of advanced skillsets and in-depth subject knowledge for all the careers of tomorrow.

“Ambition levels in Vietnam are increasing, and we want to be at the heart of making career-changing courses while also being the lifelong learning partner for students and working professionals. Outside of our offerings in diplomas, degrees, certification, and doctorates, we also see a large market for our upGrad Abroad initiative as Vietnam remains as one of the larger markets for aspiring locals looking to go overseas for higher studies” says the Vietnam Country Head, Dushyant Dwibedy.

While commenting on upGrad’s expansion plans, Mayank Kumar, co-founder & MD upGrad, added, “For upGrad, over 35% of our revenues will come from the International markets, and therefore, our country-wise local focus is the way to go forward, as we contribute to the overall 1.3 billion global knowledge workers looking to fast forward their careers in this decade.”
