Sonam Kapoor invests in the metaverse gaming platform ‘MechaFightClub’

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has invested in the metaverse gaming platform MechaFightClub (MFC), a blockchain-based game launched by Irreverent Labs. Although the invested amount remains undisclosed until now. MechaFightClub is a metaverse gaming platform having every character in the game individually unique as an AI-based non-player-living character living on the blockchain as an NFT.
The game was started in 2021 by Rahul Sood, David Raskino, and Thibault Reichelt of Irreverent Labs which develops Artificial Intelligence (AI) games with Machine Learning (ML) and engaging gameplay with blockchain technology. MFC is a robot cock fighting game that makes use of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), it is built on a blockchain since it is a collectables game. This game is also a resemblance to Warhammer and Heroclix.

Sonam Kapoor said that she has grown up playing video games and loves everything about them. She also shared her likeness about the art, the storytelling, and the creativity that requires in developing a game. And said that she is intrigued by the aspect of the test of time which is very crucial while playing the game. She further added that she is elated to be a part of the MFC family as they are carrying the video gaming industry into its next chapter of Web 3.0.
Further, the game is designed in a dystopian future which is dominated by extraterrestrial mecha bots. ‘Weapons of mass entertainment’, regarded as the weapons of war are redistributed to the public when a global resistance hacks the 41,000 remaining chicken-shaped mecha bots. A few days back, Irreverent Labs raised $40 million funds to enhance their efforts to create MFC, which was disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is also working with the Solana blockchain having an ecosystem that is famous for games and processes transactions faster.
