Reed Jobs’ healthcare VC Yosemite raises $200m cancer fund


Reed Jobs, son of Apple founder Steve Jobs, has raised over US$200 million for a second fund at his healthcare investment firm, Yosemite, which focuses on cancer research.

The firm, managing more than US$1 billion in assets, invests in companies developing early detection, targeted therapies, and monitoring solutions for various cancers.

Yosemite’s new fund, with a target of US$350 million, includes investors like Amgen, Memorial Sloan Kettering, MIT, and venture capitalist John Doerr.

Jobs founded Yosemite in 2023 after working at Emerson Collective, and has backed biotech and AI drug startup.

Yosemite also provides grants to researchers, aiming to support scientific innovation amid federal funding cuts.

Jobs, 34, aims to accelerate breakthroughs in cancer treatment within his lifetime.
