Pet treat Startup Dogsee Chew raises INR 50 Crore in Series A round of funding

Pet treat startup Dogsee Chew has recently announced that it has raised a sum of INR 50 crore in Series A round of funding led by Mankind Pharma. The round also witnessed participation from existing investor Sixth Sense Ventures. With this round of investment, Mankind Pharma has stepped into the pet food category.
Commenting on the recent round of fundraise, Dogsee Chew Founder Bhupendra Khanal said, “Mankind Pharma has an established history of creating highly successful consumer products. Having the backing of such a giant is a huge vote of confidence for us and we look forward to learning from their expertise.”

The company officials have revealed that the recently infused funds will be deployed towards brand building activities of the startup. Furthermore, the pet food startup also intends to utilise the funds to build a strong distribution network and further improve its R&D capabilities.
On its investment, Mankind Pharma Chief Operations Officer Arjun Juneja said, “The trust that people have shown in Dogsee Chew has strengthened our confidence to invest in a brand that is true to its nature. Mankind has always believed in innovation and, with brands like Dogsee Chew that are innovative and young, we see the future of India.”
