Union Minister Narayan Rane Hails MSME Ministry’s Contribution to Chandrayaan-3 Success

Union Minister Narayan Rane took to Twitter to extend his heartfelt congratulations to ISRO and the nation on the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon. In his tweet, Rane, who oversees the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Ministry, highlighted the pivotal role played by the ministry in realizing this monumental achievement.
Rane emphasized that the MSME Ministry’s active involvement has significantly contributed to turning the dream of Chandrayaan-3 into reality. He shared insightful details about the ministry’s contributions, stating that the Bhubaneswar Tool Room under the ministry manufactured a remarkable 54,000 aerospace components of 437 types for the mission. Another institute under the Ministry, IDEMI Mumbai, also played a crucial role in manufacturing parts for Chandrayaan-3.
The Union Minister emphasized that the success of the Chandrayaan mission holds immense promise for India’s progress. He stated, “This achievement will establish new dimensions in the country’s space, science, and innovation sectors during Azadi ka Amritkaal celebrations.”
Rane underlined the MSME sector’s pivotal role in shaping India’s progress, stating that it extends from traditional crafts like the Charkha to modern space missions like Chandrayaan. He recognized the sector’s contribution in boosting the country’s production capacity.
Appreciating the dedication of the scientists, Rane said, “India’s history in the space sector has been exceptional. MSME sector will surely play a crucial role in the space missions to be launched in the future as well.”
Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar also extended his congratulations to the ISRO team for this remarkable achievement. He expressed his pride in India becoming the first country to successfully land on the Moon’s south side and the fourth nation globally to achieve this feat.
“With the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, the Indian Flag has been planted in a region where no country has ever landed before. This is such a proud moment for every Indian. To our scientists who have achieved this historic feat with their relentless dedication and talent – a big Thank you and Congratulations!” Chandrasekhar tweeted.
