Stride Ventures Invests INR 50 Cr In Agritech Startup WayCool

Stride Ventures, a venture debt firm located in Delhi, has invested INR 50 crore into agritech startup WayCool as part of its debt investment round. Stride Ventures intends to use this fund to build its portfolio with new-age Indian startups working in a variety of industries.

Stride Ventures, founded in 2019 by Ishpreet Gandhi, seems to be a sector-agnostic venture debt fund focused on growth-stage entrepreneurs in India. Stride Ventures India Fund I & Stride Ventures India Fund II are its current funds.

Chinna Pardhasardhi, WayCool’s chief financial officer, commented on the loan funding, saying, “We at WayCool have been pursuing various tech-driven efforts to innovate and support the Indian food economy.” We embrace Stride Ventures to the Waycool family, and look forward to working with them to establish one of the top food and agritech platforms.” WayCool previously received $40 million through global alternative investment firm 57 Stars in June of this year.

WayCool’s platform, originally founded by Karthik Jayaraman & Sanjay Dasari, assists retail establishments in obtaining fresh farm-sourced fruits, vegetables, and dairy products. It also provides items that enable the smooth operation of supply networks and reduce inefficiencies in food quality management.
