Social Food Discovery Platform Hogr Raises Rs 10 Crore in Seed Funding Led by Curefoods

Bengaluru-based social platform Hogr, focused on restaurant and food discovery, has successfully raised Rs 10 crore in a seed funding round led by Curefoods, a prominent cloud kitchen brand housing diverse culinary entities such as EatFit and Cakezone. The infusion of funds is earmarked for expanding Hogr app’s reach, enhancing features, and introducing updates to elevate the overall user experience.

Founded by Jugul Thachery and Harish Harshan, Hogr stands out by enabling users to discover new restaurants and dishes through personalized recommendations. These suggestions come from their contacts, family, friends, and fellow food enthusiasts whose taste preferences align with theirs. The app simplifies the process of discovering new culinary experiences, fostering a social network of food enthusiasts with an easy recommendation system.

Curefoods, the leading force behind this investment, operates several popular brands including EatFit, Yumlane, Aligarh House Biryani, Masalabox, and CakeZone. With over 100 kitchens spanning 12 cities in India, Curefoods has been making waves in the culinary landscape. Earlier this year, the brand secured Rs 300 crore ($36.5 million) in an equity and debt round, led by Binny Bansal’s fund Three State Ventures. In addition, Curefoods expanded its portfolio through acquisitions, welcoming YumLane Pizza and Millet Express into its family this year.
