RetailTech Arzooo reports a 400% increase in the sale of white goods during the holidays

In comparison to the previous year, sales of white goods on the retail tech platform Arzooo increased 400% during the holiday season. Televisions (540%), washing machines (330%), and refrigerators (300%) contributed the most to this rise.

Over 40,000 shops have joined Arzooo’s platform. Approximately 80% of these shops are from tier 2 and below cities, accounting for almost 67% of overall sales volume.

The western portion of India had the greatest (1000%) increase in sales, headed by towns such as Ahmednagar, Udaipur, and Dhule, among others. East India (950%) came in first, followed by North India (500%) in Indore, Bhopal, Gurdaspur, Kurukshetra, and Moga, and South India (300%) in Guntur, Kolar, Khammam, Manjera, and Wayanad.

RetailTech Arzooo reports a 400% increase in the sale of white goods during the holidays

Khushnud Khan, Co-founder & CEO, Arzooo, said, “Tier 2 and below cities represent a potentially untapped market with pent-up demand and significant opportunities. Our growth in the sale of white goods is a function of increased adoption of the platform among the retailers and a rise in disposable incomes among the consumers.”

The sellers on the tech platform surged by 1500%, with the top sellers selling 5x more this year than previous. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka are among the top-performing states. This great sale demonstrates the optimism of in-store shopping, which is a significant driver boosting demand for white goods at offline retailers.
