Paytm claims Tamil Nadu’s Kadpati as the fastest growing city for digital payment

Paytm reported on Wednesday that Kadpati in Tamil Nadu is the fastest growing city for digital payments, with a 7X growth rate by 2022.
Paytm UPI is one of the most preferred payment methods for Indians, with its superfast and secure payments, according to the aPaytm 2022 Recap’ report, which highlighted interesting trends of transactions made through Paytm in 2022.
Paytm is expanding the reach of digital payments and driving financial inclusion, with two out of every three new users coming from smaller cities and towns. An intriguing finding is that the most payments were made at 7.23 p.m., with Wednesday emerging as the busiest day of the week for digital transactions. According to the report, Rahul and Pooja are two of the most popular names among Paytm users.

“As the pioneer of QR and mobile-based payments in India, we continue to see widespread love for the most trusted payments app — Paytm,” said a company spokesperson.
“Over the last year, we have seen greater adoption among consumers and merchants, leading to some interesting trends with Paytm UPI leading the way. With the trust bestowed upon us by our users, we remain focused on driving financial inclusion in India,” the spokesperson added.”
Paytm founded in 2010 is an Indian digital payment and financial service provider company. It is based in Noida. It was founded in 2010 by Vijay Shekhar Sharma under One97 Communications. The digital payment app claims to have over 350 million active users as of 2018. Its close competitor is PhonePe with 118 Million active users.
