One Impression secures $10M funding from Krafton creator of PUBG

One Impression, a creator aggregator platform, has announced raising $10 million in its Series A funding round from Krafton, the renowned developer behind the widely popular video game, PUBG.
In India, Krafton has already invested in several companies including Pratilipi, a publishing platform, and Rusk Media, a digital content platform.
According to a statement by the company, the newly raised funds will be utilised to hasten the development of One Impression’s product and to broaden its reach in different markets, beginning with Southeast Asia (SEA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Apaksh Gupta, the Founder and CEO of One Impression, stated that “the company has already begun making progress in these markets but acknowledged that their presence is currently limited”.
One Impression was established in 2018 as a creator discovery platform and now serves as a marketplace linking content creators with brands. The platform has collaborated with roughly 500 brands, such as Cetaphil and Mamaearth, in India, the US, Australia, and other nations.
The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns hastened the shift towards digital adoption, as individuals increasingly turned to the internet for a range of activities, such as shopping and entertainment. This resulted in the emergence of a new generation of content creators who entertained audiences and earned income through brand partnerships.
Gupta states that with One Impression, “brands can establish a direct connection with creators, eliminating the requirement of involving multiple agencies”. Additionally, the platform offers details on the rates charged by creators for various types of brand partnership formats, such as short videos, static posts, and long videos.
As of now, the platform asserts that it collaborates with 7 million creators, comprising numerous micro creators who have a few thousand followers on the platform.
Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON, Inc. India, remarked in a statement that “the creator ecosystem is on the verge of a revolution and has enormous untapped potential”.
