Following his purchase of the microblogging service, Elon Musk has taken aim at the site’s detractors. On Thursday, Elon Musk posted to his official Twitter account, “I love when people gripe about Twitter… on Twitter,” followed by two smiling emojis. Elon Musk has made a rush of choices affecting the operation of the multimillion-daily-user social media company since closing the Twitter transaction. The social media behemoth, Elon Musk said in a tweet on Wednesday, will do a lot of stupid things in the coming months as part of a trial-and-error process.
There will be many baffling actions taken by Twitter in the near future. He tweeted that successful aspects will be maintained while less successful ones would be altered. The introduction of the new USD 7.99 monthly Blue membership is one of the most significant recent developments on Twitter. Many people were unhappy with Musk’s decision to institute the blue tick tax. Advertisers, too, began to shy away from the site.

In addition, a new badge has been introduced to help distinguish between verified and paid accounts. The “Official” badge and a gray verification check mark have been added to the profiles of verified users. The “official” designation was seen on the Twitter accounts of numerous Indian government entities prior to the rollout of blue tick subscriptions in India. A short time after being live, the new function was removed from users’ accounts. Elon Musk replied, “I just murdered it,” in response to a tweet from tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee regarding the “Official” badge.
Elon Musk target
Elon Musk has been the target of much criticism on social media for more than just the “blue tick charge,” though; he has also come under fire for firing staff members. Musk tweeted that he had to terminate people because Twitter was losing more than $4 million per day.
Whoopi Goldberg and Gigi Hadid, among others, left Twitter in the days after the company was purchased.
Musk has also cautioned Twitter staff that the social media company may fail if it is unable to diversify its revenue streams.
Late on Wednesday, Musk sent an email to the whole firm telling workers to cease telecommuting and report to the office first thing Thursday morning. On Thursday, he held his first “all hands” meeting to address the staff’s concerns. A lot of people had been looking to the publicly available tweets of the wealthy CEO of Tesla for predictions about the future of Twitter before then.
Reuters claimed on Wednesday that Musk’s net worth has dipped below USD 200 billion after investors sold Tesla shares on concerns that Musk, as CEO and major shareholder of the world’s most valuable electric-vehicle manufacturer, is more obsessed with Twitter than running the company.
