Newsahoot, an ed-tech startup, is set to launch a news website dedicated to publishing news tailored for kids. It is meant to increase the engagement of children in the real world affairs through interesting and age-appropriate articles which would be published once a day.
It is indisputable that engagement with real-world news makes children more thoughtful and aware. Research has found that news in traditional formats leaves children frustrated and angry. Study also shows that it is through online medium that most children access news. Newsahoot seeks to provide an alternative source of news to kids.

The features offered by Newsahoot to kids through this new website include a range of articles ranging across six categories- Newsahoot launches a new website to help kids get access to real-world news, India, science and technology, health, environment, and social sciences. Each article would contain bullet points at the end for revision and also plenty of new words which would enhance the child’s vocabulary. Another feature is that the child can select across three levels for each article- beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The articles are also written differently according to the level chosen by the child.
