Myplan8 app now available to educate millions of Indians about their carbon footprint

Myplan8 has launched a carbon dioxide emissions tracker to provide insight into the carbon footprint generated by our daily lifestyle, regular travel, and food consumption patterns. Individuals can learn about their carbon footprint by answering a few simple questions on the Myplan8 app. It also provides carbon offsetting through carefully selected and confirmed offset partners.

The app allows you to earn up to 100 points for registering and completing activities. It also provides users with an electronic carbon balance sheet that is sent to their mailbox every month to help them keep track. The programme would assist in tracking the carbon impact created by daily life.

In collaboration with an Indian bank, the company will also launch Bharat’s First Green Money CardTM by March. Myplan8’s green money card will automatically track an individual’s carbon footprint and correlate it to their transaction.

Co-founder Nidhi Mehra said in a statement, “Every nation stresses on carbon footprint reduction…We aim to eliminate roughly 1 giga tons of carbon emissions by 2030 by enrolling 100 million people in Myplan8 app.”

The software will assist in evaluating issues such as water and electricity usage, food habits, trash management, and mode of transportation.
