Manu Jain, renowned for his pivotal role in Xiaomi’s impressive growth journey, particularly in India, previously served as the Global Vice President at Xiaomi Group during his extensive nine-year tenure. He played a significant role in Xiaomi’s evolution from a small startup to a major player in the smartphone industry.
Jain expressed his excitement about his new role in a LinkedIn post, saying, “I am delighted to announce that I am joining G42, a leading global AI company, to kickstart a new AI business in India! Together, we will innovate, disrupt, and drive forward the frontiers of artificial intelligence.” He emphasized the transformative potential of AI and its ability to impact India’s tech landscape significantly.
In his capacity as the India CEO of G42, Manu Jain will explore new commercial and partnership opportunities to enhance the company’s AI-centric ecosystem. Jain’s career trajectory includes diverse roles within Xiaomi since joining in 2014 and co-founding the fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform, Jabong, before that.
