Flipkart Health+ CEO Prashant Jhaveri Exits, Kanchan Mishra to Lead as Chief Business Officer

Flipkart Health+ CEO Prashant Jhaveri has made the decision to step down from his position after just over a year with the company, according to sources. Internal candidate Kanchan Mishra, who previously oversaw Flipkart’s FMCG, home, and general merchandise businesses, will replace Jhaveri as the Chief Business Officer of Flipkart Health+.

Prashant Jhaveri joined Flipkart Health+ as CEO in March 2022, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his previous roles as CEO of Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited and MediBuddy, as well as Chief Business Officer for Medi Assist Group. However, he has now chosen to move on from his role at Flipkart Health+.

It is worth noting that Flipkart’s entry into the e-pharmacy sector was through the acquisition of Kolkata-based healthtech startup SastaSundar Marketplace in November 2021. This acquisition led to the rebranding of SastaSundar as Flipkart Health+. In the competitive e-pharmacy market, Flipkart Health+ faces competition from established players such as 1mg, Netmeds, PharmEasy, and Amazon Pharmacy.

The transition in leadership at Flipkart Health+ comes as the company continues to navigate the challenges and opportunities within the e-pharmacy space.
