Between July and September 2022, YouTube removed the most videos from India totaling 1.7 million

According to the company’s quarterly transparency report on Tuesday, YouTube removed 1.7 million videos from India between July and September of this year, the biggest number in the world. These films were taken down for breaking the rules.
In the previous quarter, from April to June, it had taken down 1.32 million videos in India. The majority of the violations relating to child safety, violence, nudity, bullying, and harmful content resulted in the removal of about 5.6 million videos globally. In the third quarter of 2022, the Google-owned company shut down more than 5 million channels across the globe for breaking its rules regarding deceptive metadata, thumbnails, fraud, video, and spam comments. Indonesia had 628,539 movies removed behind India, which had 1,707,204 videos taken down from July to September.
Regardless matter where the item is uploaded, YouTube’s Community Guidelines are upheld everywhere. According to the firm, content that is removed for breaking rules is suddenly unavailable elsewhere. The video streaming platform’s automated flagging technologies were used to start over 94% of the video takedowns. Up to 68% of the videos that were deleted were done so before receiving 10 views.

Government officials identified only 8 YouTube videos, according to the report. Data about a video is based on the uploader’s IP address, which, unless they are using a virtual private network (VPN) or proxy server, typically matches with their location.
The video-sharing site eliminated 737.5 million comments by combining human and technological labour. The information excludes comments that were deleted after a video’s comment area was turned off. Additionally, it excludes remarks deleted when a video was taken down (individually or as a result of a channel-level suspension), when a commenter’s account was closed, or when a user decided to delete some remarks or hold them for review.
