Amul’s parent company, GCMMF, expects 20% revenue growth to Rs 66,000 crore this fiscal year

Due to increased demand, GCMMF, which sells dairy products under the Amul brand, anticipates a 20% increase in revenue this fiscal year to approximately Rs 66,000 crore. In 2022–2023, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF) reported a revenue of Rs 55,055 crore, an increase of 18.5% from the previous year.

The GCMMF MD (in charge) told PTI in an interview that the company’s revenue increased significantly in the previous fiscal year due to an increase in demand for branded dairy products following COVID.

“We expect the sales momentum to continue across our product portfolio. Demand is shifting from unorganised to organised players,” he said.

Mehta stated that the federation is also concentrating on expanding the very small organic food and edible oil businesses.

Asked about milk prices, Mehta said, “We have no plans to increase rates as of now”.
