Prepseed, an edtech company based in Ahmedabad, has received Rs 2 crores in seed funding from the Chiripal Group of Companies.
“We are delighted to receive the seed funding, and the resources will be utilised for advanced AI and machine learning technology, allowing educational institutions and students to identify better and address the difficulty levels of the students’ vis a vis their courses and subjects,” Vivek Kankaria said.
Vansh Chiripal has now joined the company’s board of directors.
Prepseed began as a tool to assist competitive exam candidates in analysing their performance through the use of AI technology. It helps students prepare for competitive exams like IIT-JEE, NEET, and SAT, as well as educational institutions like KG-12 grade: CBSE, Cambridge, IB, IGCSE, and various State Boards.

Prepseed’s Learning Management System (LMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) services are used by Allen Institute for Careers, JNV (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya), Resonance, Reliable Institute, Dakshana Foundation, Vyas edification, and others.
According to Vivek, technology aids in the completion of tasks that require both time and money.
The application version for mobile phones and tablets for students, teachers, administrators, and management has also been created and is currently being tested.
“No one should be denied an education because they lack resources, particularly in the age when technology is available to each and all. Education is not about how hard you work; it’s about how smart you work,” Vivek said.
Prepseed’s vision is to use technology to make education more horizontal by providing equal opportunities to private and public institutions. The next step is to digitise institutions, particularly in India, in order to close the gap between the potential of teachers and students.
The company’s investment was valued at Rs. 10 crore. The Prepseed platform, co-founded by Vivek Kankaria, assists over 1.5 lakh students and 230 educational institutions across India through coaching academies, schools, and colleges.
