Snapdeal to Add Anisha Motwani and Ullas Kamath as Independent Directors

The e-commerce platform, Snapdeal has recently appointed two additional independent directors Anisha Motwani and Ullas Kamath thus expanding the team of Board of Directors of the company before filing for its IPO.
Ullas Kamath is the Joint Managing Director of Jyoth Labs and a FMCG veteran. On the other hand, Anisha Motwani is a brand expert, who has worked as a World Bank Consultant, on the Swacch Bharat Mission, National Mission for Clean Ganga as well as Solar Rooftop Adoption.
Founded in 2010 by Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, Snapdeal is a leading e-commerce app which offers more than 60 million products across 800 categories. The online platform drives more than a million customers on its platform.
This announcement comes a week after the appointment of Kaushik Dutta and Richa Arora as the company’s independent directors. This move is likely to strengthen the company’s board ahead of the filing of draft red herring prospectus.
