Indian Actor Kamal Hassan partners with Fantico

The famous Indian actor, director, producer and politician Kamal Hassan has recently partnered up with Fantico to launch his digital avatar as a NFT (Non Fungible Token) in a metaverse. This announcement makes him the first Indian celebrity to have his own digital avatar.
Furthermore, Fantico intends to diversify the product offerings by developing a game around the digital avatar and also building a digital museum to provide a brief insight into the life of this Bollywood star.
Commenting about the recent announcement, the director said, “I am excited to explore the emerging intersection of the digital and physical world, which is now becoming popularly known as metaverse. My life’s journey of over six decades will be my offering for this metaverse.”
Fantico would launch various posters, avatars and videos of Kamal Hassan. Apart from that the company also plans to introduce a game which would allow fans to interact with him globally by getting a peak into his life through the avatars, participating in meet and greet sessions within the game as well as by buying souvenirs (both digitally and physically).
The current fan base has shown keen interest in collecting NFTs due to which companies have been able to garner huge profits. Celebrities have also started collaborating with NFT brands to launch their own tokens. The recent trends indicate a transformation in the Bollywood industry.
