Indy Tech Startup Lands Seed Funding

Shaker, an Indianapolis-based software firm, has raised $2 million in a seed round of funding. The business, which has created a transaction management platform for real estate agents and teams, plans to utilise the money to expand its sales and marketing efforts as well as expand its engineering team.Shaker was founded by High Alpha, an Indianapolis-based venture capital firm, over a year ago. High Alpha, Elevate Ventures of Indianapolis, and other renowned angel investors participated in the investment round.

“Our vision is to build a platform that allows real estate teams and independent brokers to manage the transaction process via a collaborative platform, bringing teams, vendors, and clients into a single source of truth” Chris Lucas, chief executive officer of Shaker, said in a news release. “Our investors continue to believe in the platform and the opportunity ahead, but more importantly our customers continue to see immediate value via our sleek user interface and powerful transaction features.” He concluded.
