AI chatbot Niki to shut down.

The Ratan Tata-backed artificial intelligence platform, Niki.ai is shutting down its operations. The AI is used to provide virtual assistance that allows people to transact online through voice command across four different languages: Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and English. An anonymous source revealed that “Niki.ai has discontinued its services for the past month due to several reasons including lack of funds,” and that “The company has laid off most of its employees in the past several months.”

Niki.ai was a major platform that was used for various activities like booking flight tickets, hotels, taxis and other tasks like the payment of bills on chat and other interfaces.
