Honor plans to launch AI-powered robot phone in 2026

Honor plans to launch the world’s first AI-powered Robot Phone in 2026. The device is set to debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona. It features advanced AI integration combined with robotics, including a foldable, liftable mechanical structure with a rear camera module that transforms into an independent gimbal capable of 360° rotation, auto-tracking, and 4K ultra-HD recording.

The phone is powered by an on-device large AI model called YOYO Assistant, which offers emotional interaction, environmental awareness, and full-scene device coordination. This enables the phone to be not just a tool but an intuitive companion that understands and adapts to the user in real-time.

The design incorporates a robotic arm for the camera, providing smooth gimbal-like stabilization and autonomous movement for creative photography and video capabilities. It also has features such as outfit analysis and entertainment for children, showcasing its multi-modal AI intelligence.

Honor has described the Robot Phone as a symbolic step toward the future of intelligent devices, redefining how people interact with technology by merging AI, mobility, and human-centered design. This innovation is part of Honor’s broader Alpha Strategy, committing $10 billion over five years to build an AI-driven device ecosystem.

The launch is much anticipated as it represents a new category in smartphones, integrating robotics and AI for enhanced user experiences beyond traditional mobile functions.
