The Mumbai-headquartered quick-service restaurant chain Good Flippin’ Burgers is expected to raise Rs 55 crore in fresh funding from S.R. Foundation, taking its total valuation to approximately Rs 480 crore. The burger chain is looking to ramp up its expansion across India.
The recent report states that the S.R. Foundation is a public charitable trust that operates as an investment platform. It is headquartered in Delhi and is led by its corporate trustee Rajiv Kumar Gupta and is associated with the DS Group promoter network.
The latest transaction carries a valuation premium of around 20% from what was assessed in the previous funding round of the firm. Good Flippin’ Burgers had approximately been valued at around ₹ 400 crore after its ₹ 30 crore extended Series A round, managed by the existing investor Tanglin Venture Partners in April 2024.
The company’s Board of Directors has greenlighted the 58,668 Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) to be issued at a price of Rs 9,374.77 per share to S.R. Foundation.
The funds will be applied in accordance with the plans for the development and growth of Good Flippin’ Burgers, as well as the corporate requirements of the company. Good Flippin’ Burgers was established in Mumbai in 2019 and has been growing considerably since the beginning; it currently operates a total of 67 outlets in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.
The company is securing additional funding while it is in the process of expanding its business operations and preparing for competition in the Indian quick-service restaurant industry. Good Flippin’ Burgers is in competition with local burger companies like Burger Singh, Burgrill, Louis Burger and regional and cloud-kitchen solutions.
The company has witnessed a strong growth on the topline front in the last few years with the revenues more than tripling between FY2023 and FY2025 from Rs 32.5 crore to Rs 111 crore. But this fast growth has also led to a rise in the company’s losses from Rs 3.91 crore in FY2023 to Rs 18.32 crore in FY2025.
Good Flippin’ Burgers is raising funds to scale up the next level of expansion in the growing quick service restaurant market in India with its recent fundraising. The company has not yet declared its financials for FY26 and till then the financial performance post current expansion will be somewhat in the dark.
