Four Pune based startups have received the National Startup Award 2021


The Ministry of Commerce and Industry recognised four Pune-based startups working on a variety of technologies in healthcare, security surveillance, travel, and industry as among the top 46 Indian startups.

The best innovations from Pune ranged from providing hassle-free travel bookings for the Armed Forces to a mobile fuel refilling facility, security surveillance based on artificial intelligence, and linking digital healthcare to traditional Ayurveda-based knowledge for diagnosis.

One of the winners in the Travel category was Upcurve Business Services Pvt Ltd. Their app-based platform and offline travel ticket booking service, udChalo, is dedicated to making travel bookings easier for Indian soldiers, veterans, and their families. This company also hires veterans.

Pivotchain Solution Technologies Pvt Ltd, the winner from Pune in the Security and Surveillance category, provided round-the-clock video surveillance systems driven by AI suitable for industry and large assets through their product Raven.

For operating petrol pumps on wheels equipped with IoT and cloud technologies, Repos IOT India Pvt Ltd was named the winner in the Industry 4.0 category. The service is currently available in 150 cities, and the company has both portable and stationary units with storage capacities ranging from 2,000 to 20,000 litres of fuel at any given time.

Another winner was Atreya Innovations Pvt Ltd, which provides sensor-based technology that converts individual health parameters into Ayurvedic terms and uses the Nadi tarangini tool for diagnostics.

A total of 175 startups made it to the final round, where they were evaluated on their innovation, scalability, socioeconomic and environmental impacts, inclusiveness, and diversity. This year, 414 startups competed for work related to Covid-19 in the competition.
