CoreWeave, a leading GPU-accelerated cloud provider, has signed a $1.17 billion commercial agreement with Vast Data, an AI operating system company backed by Nvidia, to strengthen and expand AI infrastructure capabilities. Vast Data’s AI OS is built on its proprietary DASE architecture to eliminate traditional tradeoffs between scale, performance, and simplicity, enabling rapid storage, retrieval, and organization of unstructured data such as emails, multimedia, and documents—critical data assets in AI workflows. This technology dramatically reduces cost and energy consumption, making high-performance flash storage viable at hyperscale.
With CoreWeave branding itself as an “AI Hyperscaler,” the collaboration leverages Nvidia’s GPU technologies, enhancing CoreWeave’s cloud with Vast Data’s software to support complex AI workloads.
