Bengaluru-based sports infrastructure startup Michezo Sports has raised US $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round aimed at strengthening its infrastructure network and expanding distribution capabilities across India.
The round saw participation from a mix of institutional investors and strategic angels with deep expertise in sports and fitness technology. The fresh infusion of capital will be deployed to scale Michezo’s infrastructure projects, enhance product innovation, and accelerate its presence in tier-2 and tier-3 cities—bridging the gap between grassroots sports and professional-level facilities.
Founded with the vision of making quality sports infrastructure accessible and affordable, Michezo Sports focuses on end-to-end solutions for sporting venues, including design, construction, equipment, and operations. The company has been instrumental in developing multi-sport arenas, community fields, and school-based sports facilities.
Commenting on the fundraise, the company’s leadership said that this milestone marks a crucial step in their mission to democratize access to high-quality sports infrastructure in India. “Our goal is to empower athletes and enthusiasts with better training environments and foster a culture of play,” the statement added.
