AIMMO bags $12M Series A to advance data labeling technology

A Korean startup called AIMMO, which uses software and people to tag and classify images, video, audio, text, and sensor fusion data, has developed an AI data annotation platform that allows companies to quickly tag data. Did.
AIMMO today announced that it has raised $ 12 million in a Series A round to advance its data labeling technology and drive global expansion. The most recent round was attended by seven venture capital firms: DS Asset Management, Industrial Bank of Korea, Hanwha Investment & Securities, S & S Investment, Toss Investment, Korea Asset Investment & Securities and Venture Field. AIMMO didn’t want to comment on that rating.
“This pandemic has accelerated the transformation of contactless technology by using AI for intelligence monitoring, smart cities, autonomous driving, smart factories, and robotics, where AI data is inevitably needed.” Doyle Chung, Head of Global Sales at AIMMO, said. Founded in 2016 by CEO Seung Taek Oh, the startup has three data annotation tools. AIMMODaaS manages sensor fusion data for self-driving cars. Enterprises; AIMMO GtaaS, a big data turnkey platform. Launched in 2020, AIMMO Enterprises is a web-based SaaS annotation labeling tool with a cloud architecture. The
startup said its tools helped improve the inefficiencies of the data annotation process, so customers could only focus on AI modeling. AIMMO Enterprises does not require platform fees, programming knowledge, or installation to allow users to tag data via a browser such as Chrome. For
AIMMO GtaaS, the user sends the raw data to AIMMO, which tags the data for validation and returns it to the customer.
