Agritech Startup MoooFarm raises $2.4 million in seed round

Agritech startup MoooFarm has recently announced that it has raised a sum of $2.4 million in its seed round of funding led by Accel India. The round also saw participation from prominent investors Rockstart’s AgriFood and Navus Ventures.
In an official statement, the company officials revealed that the freshly infused capital will be utilised primarily towards hiring proficient tech talent and considerably increasing the revenue of the startup. Furthermore, the startup also intends to deploy the funds towards expanding on its operational locations.

“MoooFarm’s team brings strong operational and technical expertise to organise over $50 billion pre-farm gate dairy sector in India,” said Prashanth Prakash, senior partner at Accel India.
“The team has shown strong traction while expanding their innovative offering to Indian smallholder farmers,” said Eduard Meijer from Navus Ventures.
Founded by Param Singh, Aashna Singh, Abhijeet Mittal and Jitesh Arora in 2019, MooFarm offers technical solutions to dairy farmers for all their needs. The company empowers small-scale dairy farmers by connecting them with high yielding cattle, qualified veterinarians, providing them access to insurance/financial services and a variety of digital advisory services through its mobile app. The startup has been able to garner a consumer base of 1 million dairy farmers across India.
