Securonix, a cloud-based XDR company, announced a $1 billion growth investment led by Vista Equity Partners on Tuesday to focus on improving Securonix Threat Labs, expanding to the application layer, and bringing in talent to support internet-of-things efforts, particularly those tied to operational technology.
The funds collected would enable Securonix to make major investments in senior personnel and extend its products globally, according to the company.
The firm, situated in Addison, Texas, provides cyber security threat detection and response services and claims to be one of the largest in the industry, according to co-founder and CEO Sachin Nayyar.

It has customers and government agencies all throughout the world, including Pfizer, and more than half of its income comes from the United States.
Prior to the sale, Securonix had raised more than $50 million from investors. Along with Vista Equity, investment companies Volition Capital and Eight Roads Ventures participated in this capital round.
