The Uttar Pradesh government authorised plans to build four data centre parks in the state at a cost of over Rs 15,950 crore. The plan was adopted during a meeting of the state cabinet, which was presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Data Center Policy 2021 has authorised many investor bids to build four data centre parks with a combined investment of more than 15950 crores. According to a formal declaration, this will directly or indirectly employ around 4,000 people.
The state cabinet authorised financial and non-financial incentives for three more investors, Adani Enterprises Limited Projects 1 and 2, NTT Global Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure India Private Limited, and non-financial incentives for NIDP Developers Private Limited.

In addition to energy-related financial incentives, parks and units under the data centre programme are granted capital subsidies, interest subventions, stamp duty exemptions on the acquisition or leasing of land, and numerous other non-financial incentives. Along with bringing in money for the government, the installation of MRO in the state will also result in the creation of a significant number of employees.
The state will become a centre for aircraft maintenance, it was also agreed. In accordance with this, the cabinet authorised the plan for the establishment of MRO facilities for aeroplanes in the state. Due to the lack of an MRO facility in India, aircraft are now transferred to Singapore and Dubai for expensive and time-consuming repairs.
