Umang app integrates with PayNearby to provide government services

PayNearby, a branchless banking and digital network, announced the integration of Umang (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) into its platform on Friday.
Anand Kumar Bajaj, Founder, MD & CEO of PayNearby said, “We want to ensure that the advantages of all government services reach every nook and corner of the country in a consumer-friendly manner. In accordance with this, and to further Bharat’s digital journey, the launch of the UMANG service for PayNearby retailers will go a long way toward moving this digitalization journey to the next level, allowing the public to smoothly use these e-Gov services and progressively becoming digitally literate.”
With its tech-led DaaS network of over 50 retail partners, PayNearby aims to assist individuals with all of their central and state government services-related demands across 20,000+ PIN codes, while also assisting Umang services in reaching a bigger user base of more than 20 crore users.
UMANG, created by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to foster Mobile Governance in India, is a single platform that allows all Indian residents to access 100+ e-Gov services from national to local government bodies.
This super software, which is available in a variety of regional languages, is intended to relieve citizens of the need to download a plethora of apps while improving transparency and fairness in all transactions. The app allows users to find, download, and access various features.
PayNearby seeks to aid the masses by acquainting them with various features of UMANG and assisting them in accessing those services while bringing ease to their lives through its supported retail network of 50+ lakh retail establishments. People no longer need to visit many offices to complete administrative tasks.
