SuperGaming raises $15 million, valuation climbs to $100 million

Pune-based gaming startup SuperGaming has raised $15 million in a new funding round, taking its valuation to nearly $100 million. The round was led by Skycatcher and Steadview Capital, with participation from notable investors such as a16z Speedrun and Polygon Ventures.

Founded in 2019 by Roby John, Sanket Nadhani, Christelle D’cruz, and Navneet Waraich, SuperGaming has quickly emerged as one of India’s leading gaming companies, known for creating engaging multiplayer and battle royale titles that blend high-quality gameplay with strong community engagement.

The startup has built popular games such as MaskGun, Battle Stars, and Indus, which together have attracted millions of players globally. With this latest infusion of capital, SuperGaming aims to expand its game development capabilities, invest in new IP creation, and enhance its global publishing operations.

Speaking on the funding, Roby John, Co-founder and CEO, said that the company plans to leverage this investment to “build the next generation of globally successful games from India.” The focus will remain on creating games with strong storytelling, scalable multiplayer experiences, and deeply rooted community-driven gameplay.

SuperGaming’s rapid rise also reflects the growing momentum in India’s gaming ecosystem, which has been bolstered by affordable mobile internet, rising smartphone penetration, and an increasingly global audience for Indian-made content.

With a clear vision to position India on the global gaming map, SuperGaming’s latest funding marks a significant milestone — not just for the company, but for the country’s fast-evolving interactive entertainment sector.
