Sea, Google team up on AI across ecommerce, gaming

Sea Limited, a Singapore-based technology firm, announced an expanded partnership with Google to develop AI-driven innovations across its digital entertainment, ecommerce, and financial services segments.
The collaboration builds on previous joint initiatives, including the YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program and Google Play partnerships.
Sea CEO Forrest Li said the partnership aims to make AI technology more accessible and to enhance its business operations.
Google Asia Pacific president Sanjay Gupta highlighted the focus on responsible AI development that prioritizes user privacy and safety.
The collaboration will explore AI applications in gaming with Garena, ecommerce with Shopee, and digital payments through Monee, including pilot projects for AI-powered shopping and payments.
